  17. <p>     WHAT'S ANOTHER WORD FOR SEXIST? As a vigilant guardian of
  18. feminist orthodoxy, the Coalition of Labor Union Women has
  19. released its eagerly awaited Hits and Ms.s awards for 1990.
  20. Among the top transgressors: Apple Computer. One of the firm's
  21. software programs has a thesaurus that offers only a few
  22. synonyms for woman, including "female partner in marriage,
  23. wife, lady and Mrs." But when it comes to the entry for man,
  24. the list runs on and on: "member of the human race, human
  25. being, body, creature, individual, life, mortal, party, person,
  26. soul, mankind, flesh, humanity, humankind..." What? No
  27. "higher animal"?
